AWARD: PROSTATE CANCER PREDICT

Dr. Shraddha Pai (Pai Lab) is co-PI on a Genome Canada Canadian Biotechnology Innovation and Commercialization award titled, “Prostate Cancer Predict: Reducing the need for prostate biopsies by predicting the risks of high grade prostate cancer (HGPrCa) using biomarkers from semen” (lead PI: Dr. Keith Jarvi, Sinai Health System). The grant will fund the development of an algorithm that will integrate clinical characteristics, MRI data, PSA levels, and multi-omics to estimate the risk of high grade prostate cancer. The project will build the algorithm using data from 250 men, and clinically validate it through prospective testing of 700 men recruited through 7 centres across Canada.
